Bishop Violet L. Fisher answered a call to ministry at the age of 16 and through the years, served in numerous pastoral roles, as District Superintendent, and was consecrated as Bishop in July, 2000. Although retired, she has served in many capacities throughout the United Methodist Church at large; is the recipient of numerous awards; and served as short term missionary in several foreign countries. Tuesday, May 17 - 7:00 p.m. Lead Pastor of Sharptown - North United Methodist Church in Pilesgrove, New Jersey. A native of Stubenville, Ohio, he felt God’s call to New Jersey after receiving his Master of Divinity degree in 1974, and served as Senior Pastor of Sicklerville UMC for 28 years. Rev. Ruff has a casual style coupled with a high level of energy, which is characterized by the Sharptown North services which are exceedingly welcoming and casual in a contemporary style. Thursday, May 19, 7:00 p.m. Senior Pastor of Six:Eight Community of Faith in Ardmore, Pa.; a church he and his wife, Kim, planted in early 2009. He is a young, dynamic speaker having served 9-1/2 years as a missionary in Indonesia and has a passion for the Gospel and the role of the church in community service.
